Former UW baseball coach still active in the sport -SKY NEWS

LARAMIE, Wyo. (ROUTERS) — Former University of Wyoming baseball coach Jim Jones still finds time to coach the game in retirement.
Jones is in France this month working with baseball academies through June 6.
He lives in retirement in Oregon with his wife.
Jones began his career in 1961 as an outfielder for UW where he became a three-year letterman while posting a career batting average above .300.
He became UW's baseball coach in 1971 and stayed in that position for 14 years. His teams posted a record of 324-387.
In 1996, Wyoming dropped the baseball program.
Jones tells the Laramie Boomerang that he finds it a shame UW can pay one ex-basketball coach thousands of dollars while not being willing to support sports teams that would benefit many student-athletes.
